On Monday, December 10th, the Office of Sponsored Projects began using an updated version of the internal routing forms (i.e. "greens"); these new forms apply to all new projects initiated through OSP after the 10th.
Please note the following changes:
Form Name
The routing form is now called the System Tracking and External Project (STEP) Form. Please reference the STEP form when working with OSP.
Format
The form has been divided into the following five sections: Section 1: Tracking and Personnel; Section 2: Budget; Section 3: Clearances; Section 4: Conflict of Interest; and Section 5: Signature/Approvals. All sections of the form have also been updated to improve overall readability.
Additional Information
The form now includes more detailed information on the mechanism of submission or mailing required for the proposal, a brief project summary for quick reference, and more detailed information pertaining to cost share and export controls.
Detailed Instructions
OSP has developed detailed instructions to accompany the STEP form. It is hoped that this guide will assist all who must review and approve the form in connection with a proposed project and/or award. Details on the additional information mentioned above may be found within these detailed instructions.
A sample of the STEP form and the detailed instructions are available on the OSP website in the Forms section. In addition, the instructions will be included in all signature files circulated for review.
